We all buy cheap goods made in China, Mexico and various third world countries, but most of us never stop to think of the real cost of these goods. Unfotunately, companies like Walmart, who regularly violate local laws to protect employees in this country, profit considerably from deplorable working conditions arounds the world.
We have written before about the unfair and discriminatory workplace and employment practices that are standard fair at Walmart. This video highlights how Walmart uses unfair employment practices to sell cheap and poorly manufactured goods, mostly from China, here in the United States and throughout the world.
Walmart is the largest employer in the world and its employment practices have a great impact on many millions of people. Having destroyed the mom and pop stores, Walmart is now going after neighborhood pharmacies like CVS and dollar stores like Dollar Tree according to news reports. Walmart plans to open about 300 smaller stores it will call Neighborhood Markets and Walmart Express. The expansion of Walmart's already giant footprint will no doubt leave more workers and employees out in the cold when it comes to employment benefits, hourly wages, disability accommodations, family medical leave requests and other rights granted to workers under federal and state law.
Walmart is possibly the largest violator of employment laws in the United States. Walmart, by corporate plan and design, intentionally violates the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other laws enacted to protect disabled workers.
